28th September 2019 – Chermside

Our Chermside tournament was a great day with 24 players from 10 Clubs in attendance. We had players from Chermside, Kallangur, Geebung, Gatton, Wynnum, Manly, Aspley, Northern Suburbs, Red Hill and Sandgate. Great effort. Great to see our Ladies numbers growing also with 4 ladies playing this tournament.

Congratulations to the winners of our games:

Overall Winners were Alex Kinnear (Chermside) and Peter Kanowski (Kallangur) and runners up for the day were Marko Kendes (Northern Suburbs) and Warren Cresdee (Geebung).

Our 2 x 4 x 2 Winners were: Dianne Keogh (Sandgate) and James Hunt (Geebung) and runners up were Alex Kinnear (Chermside) and Peter Kanowski (Kallangur).

3 Bowls Pairs Winners were: Marko Kendes (Northern Suburbs) and Warren Cresdee (Geebung) and runners up were Alex Kinnear (Chermside) and Per Kanowski (Kallangur).

There were 2 Draws and some very close matches, so great effort to all who competed. A special thankyou to Alex, John and Vinnie of Chermside who kindly filled in for some late withdrawals.

We wish Ken Giles wife Lyn, a speedy recovery after a health scare at the game. Get well soon Lyn and we look forward to seeing you at some future games.
