7th March 2021 – Bramble Bay Bowls Club
Bramble Bay Bowls Club was the venue for Brisbane Northside Arm Bowlers Association Inc on Sunday 7th March 2021 and it was a great day.
We had a small field of 22 at this event. We had players from 11 Clubs in attendance Greenslopes, Kallangur, Bramble Bay, Pine Rivers, Ferny Grove, Caboolture Lakes, Sandgate, Narangba, Samford, Jindalee and Northern Suburbs.
The winners of our 2x4x2 Pairs Event with a 2 + 15 were Tony Watson (Kallangur) and David Pearson (Greenslopes). Runners-Up were Jack Woollett (Bramble Bay) and Dennis Bain (Bramble Bay) with 2 + 11.
We also had a Triples game today and the overall winners of that were Dave James (Narangba), Allan Svenson (Samford) and Ken Nelson (NSBC) with a 4 + 28. Peter Kanowski (Kallangur), Col Griffin (Jindalee) and Carol James (Narangba) were runners up for the day.
The winners of our 3 Bowls Pairs with a 2 + 20 were Dianne Keogh (Sandgate) and Glenn Norton (Ferny Grove) and Runners Up were Bill Hennessy (Kallangur) and Shirley Hennessy (Kallangur) with a 2 + 11.
Overall winners for the day were Dianne Keogh (Sandgate) and Glenn Norton (Ferny Grove) with a 4 + 25 and Runners Up were Tony Watson (Kallangur) and David Pearson (Greenslopes) with a 4 + 22. Well played to everyone involved and it was good to see some very competitive games throughout the day.
It was a great day and the Green was good.
I would like to thank Dave Buxton from Bramble Bay for Co-Ordinating the day and for all of his assistance in getting this event happening and the catering staff who put on a nice lunch.
